Many congratulations to St Hildeburgh's Ruth Calcott, who was licensed as a Reader in October (2016) at Chester Cathedral, following a number of years of study and training with the Diocese of Chester.
Ruth has been worshiping at St Hildeburgh's Parish Church in Hoylake for several years. As a Reader, Ruth will be leading worship and preaching - supporting the Vicar of Hoylake, Rev Paul Rossiter.
Ruth fulfills a number of important roles already at St Hildeburgh's. These include chairing the church's communications team (which deals with publicity) and playing the organ in support of our regular organist, Rob Shannon.
