Safe Families for
Children .....
as an organization originates in the USA and was first established
in the UK in the North-East of England.
Safe Families for Children works by bringing together:
- A safe and friendly temporary home for children
- Befriending and support for struggling parents
- Access to useful goods and services
Safe Families for Children is now open for business on
Merseyside (with our 100 and counting volunteers) to receive referrals from
Liverpool Social Services and offer families in crisis an alternative.
Safe Families for Children has a strong relationship to churches in
local communities, which is where it finds most of its volunteers. Safe
Families is a very broad-based organisation spanning all the major church
denominations and traditions – Anglican, Catholic, Baptist, Methodist,
Pentecostal, Reformed etc. Safe Families’ patron is the Archbishop of
Canterbury, the Rt Rev Justin Welby.
