Please Support St Hildeburgh's Exciting Church Grounds Project by Voting!

St Hildeburgh's Parish Church is fortunate in having extensive and largely wooded grounds. We want to make these an amenity open to the whole community. To this end, we are embarking on an ambitious project.

The project will be in several stages and will include:
  • Creating woodland paths
  • Establishing picnic areas with picnic tables
  • Creating a memorial garden with Hoylake's war memorial at its centre during this, the anniversary of the First World War

Currently, the war memorial is in a car park behind the church - we intend to move it into a more visible and dignified location at the east end of the church grounds, bordering on The King's Gap.

We are making a bid for funding from Wirral Borough Council to help with the cost of the project .... and we need your vote! If you feel you can support us, please vote online by 18 March 2016. The address for the online vote is at:

 https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/3ZY29MG

Pictured below in order are:
  1. The War Memorial
  2. The memorial's current location in the car park behind the church
  3. The proposed new location for the memorial
  4. A view of some of the wooded land that will be opened up for public access
